$20.00 / hour

 

Candidates must be a minimum age of 16 years.

Candidates must have Valid Bronze Cross Certificate. 

 

 

Joining our Canada’s Wonderland team means you’ll keep guests safe at our pools in our Splash Works Water Park.

  • Complete opening and closing procedures.
  • Scan and dispatch guests in a cordial manner.
  • Be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of various water attractions.
  • Enforce proper riding positions and safety procedures.
  • Provide guest service and assistance as required.
  • Have other opportunities to learn and expand your knowledge.

Qualifications

  • You!
  • Applicants that are minimum 16 years of age
  • Someone who has a current Bronze Cross
  • Individuals who are strong swimmers and pass a swimming test; 50 metres for shallow water guard and 200 metres for deep water guard
  • Candidates who can exit from a pool/attraction at any point without the use of ladders, steps or a zero-depth exit
  • Individuals that can swim 3m underwater and pick up a 10lb brick (shallow guard)
  • Someone who can do a foot first surface dive, grab a 10lb brick from the bottom of the pool, bring it to the surface and then tread water with hands out for 2 minutes (deep guard)
  • Applicants who attend and pass the Ellis Lifeguard training course (on-site training)
  • Individuals who can attend bi-weekly in-service training
  • Candidates that can work for extended periods of time outdoors
  • Availability that includes working flexible shifts on weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays
